Linda Rowett

lived in Zimbabwe for 40 years working in PR and administration before training in counselling and working in the UK and South Africa.

Prior to moving to Cape Town, SA, she was involved in assisting in youth work with particular interest in training young leaders and counselling young adult survivors of child abuse, teenage pregnancy and post abortion syndrome.

Whilst in the Cape she managed a counselling centre run by a charity, which was patronized by people with many different issues.  As HIV/Aids is pandemic in South Africa there were numbers of families living with the virus who were counselled or attended support groups run by the organization.  She was also involved in promoting, organizing and running camps for orphans and vulnerable children.

She has a real concern for people who are grappling with fear,  feel hopeless and in need of encouragement and is a strong advocate of counselling.  She is divorced, has three adult children and 4 grandchildren.
